Psychological Well-being as a Predictor: Focusing on Rhythmic Exercise Participants

초록/요약

This study was intended to contribute as basic data to the promotion and activation of rhythmic exercise by identifying predictors of psychological well-being of participants in rhythmic exercises. To this end, after distributing a questionnaire to 320 adults participating in rhythm movements at public health centers and cultural centers in Gangwon-do, 312 copies were used for the final analysis. Frequency analysis, descriptive statistical analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis were performed using SPSS 27.0 program. Specifically, psychological well-being was divided into positive and negative aspects and analyzed by dividing into demographic variables, participation level, basic psychological needs variables, and autonomous motivation variables. The results are as follows. First, it was found that it had a positive effect on positive well-being in the order of autonomy, age, internal motivation, relationship, and frequency of participation. Second, it was found that the main factor affecting negative well-being was that relationship had a negative effect, and age had a positive effect in the next order. In conclusion, it will be possible to contribute as more specific data to designing a way to further improve a positive sense of well-being and reduce a negative sense of well-being of participants in rhythm exercise. In addition, the rhythm exercise instructors should be interested in the formation of autonomy, relationship, and intrinsic motivation, and at the same time, should be accompanied by individual efforts of participants.
