This study was intended to contribute as basic data to promote leisure time exercise among college students by clarifying the relationship between self-efficacy, self-determination motivation, and leisure time exercise intention in yoga liberal arts classes. To this end, 250 copies of the questionnaire were distributed to students participating in yoga class as Liberal Education at universities in Seoul and Gangwon-do, and 236 copies were used for the final analysis. SPSS 25 and Amos 25 programs were used to analyze the data, such as descriptive statistics, reliability, validity, correlation, and mediation. As a result, first, self-efficacy was found to have a positive effect on self-determination motivation. Second, self-determination motivation was found to have a positive effect on leisure time exercise intention. Third, it was found that self-efficacy has a positive direct effect on leisure time exercise intention. Fourth, self-determination motivation was shown to mediate the relationship between self-efficacy and leisure time exercise intention among collegiate students in Yoga class. Therefore, it is necessary for instructors (or practitioners) who teach collegiate physical education like yoga class to seek and think about effective teaching strategies that can increase students’ self-efficacy and self-determined motivation.
