초록/요약
목적: 본 연구의 목적은 중학생을 위한 ‘학교기반 포괄적 성교육’이 성지식, 성적자기결정권, 및 성인지감수성에 미치는 효과를 검증하는 데 있다. 방법: 비동등성 대조군 전후 설계에 의한 유사실험연구로 서울시 G구에 소재하는 두 중학교 중 1개 학교를 실험군, 1개 학교를 대조군으로 선정하였다. 연구 참여자는 중학교 1학년 학생으로 실험군 47명, 대조군 48명으로 총 95명이었다. 실험군에는 ‘학교기반 포괄적 성교육’을 회기당 45분씩 총 10차시 실시하였고, 대조군은 ‘학교 성교육표준안’을 기반으로 한 기존 성교육을 똑같은 조건으로 실시하였다. ‘학교기반 포괄적 성교육’의 효과를 검증하기 위해 성지식 척도, 성적자기결정권 척도, 성인지감수성 척도를 사용하였다. 결과: ‘학교기반 포괄적 성교육’에 참여한 실험군은 대조군보다 성지식(t=5.88, p<0.001), 성적자기결정권(t=3.54, p<0.001), 및 성인지감수성(t=4.33, p<0.001) 점수가 통계적으로 유의하게 높았다. 결론: 청소년의 성지식, 성적자기결정권, 및 성인지감수성을 향상시키는 데 ‘학교기반 포괄적 성교육’이 효과적인 교육방안이 될 수 있다. 따라서 중학교 정규 보건 교육과정에 포괄적 성교육을 도입한다면 청소년의 올바른 성의식 형성에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of 'School-based Comprehensive Sexuality Education' on sexual knowledge, sexual self-determination, and gender sensitivity in middle school students. Method: This study is a quasi-experimental research using a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. One middle school in G District, Seoul, was selected as the experimental group, and another middle school as the control group. The participants were 95 first-year middle school students, with 47 students in the experimental group and 48 in the control group. The experimental group received a total of 10 sessions (45 minutes each) of ‘School-based Comprehensive Sexuality Education’, while the control group received conventional sexuality education based on the ‘School Sex Education Standards’ under the same conditions. To evaluate the effects of the ‘School-based Comprehensive Sexuality Education’, the study used scales measuring sexual knowledge, sexual self-determination, and gender sensitivity. Result: The experimental group that participated in the 'School-based Comprehensive Sexuality Education' showed statistically significant higher scores in sexual knowledge (t=5.88, p<0.001), sexual self-determination (t=3.54, p<0.001), and gender sensitivity (t=4.33, p<0.001) compared to the control group. Conclusion: The 'School-based Comprehensive Sexuality Education' can be an effective educational approach to improve adolescents' sexual knowledge, sexual self-determination, and gender sensitivity. Therefore, it is expected that the introduction of comprehensive sexuality education into the regular middle school health curriculum could contribute to the development of adolescents' proper sexual awareness.
