The Effect Of Blockchain Technology Adoption On Trade Competitiveness And Efficiency

초록/요약

This study analyzes the impact of cryptocurrency implementation on trade volume and logistics performance using data from 121 countries from 2020 to 2023. The research employs the Pooled-OLS model, fixed-effects models, and random-effects models to examine the relationship between cryptocurrency adoption ranking, trade volume, and logistics performance. The analysis results indicate that while cryptocurrency adoption positively impacts logistics performance, it only increases trade volume in countries with high foreign investment. Additionally, when the data is divided and analyzed by five continents, cryptocurrency adoption is found to enhance trade volume in two continents and improve logistics performance scores in four continents. Furthermore, the control variables of trade freedom and business freedom consistently show significant positive correlations with trade volume, highlighting the importance of a favorable regulatory environment for business operations. These findings suggest that open trade policies and supportive corporate infrastructure enhance trade efficiency and competitiveness. This study emphasizes the impact of cryptocurrency adoption on the trade environment and underscores the critical role of regulatory and policy environments in fostering trade activities and integrating into the global market.
