초록/요약
한국의 청소년들이 사망하는 가장 큰 이유는 자살이다. 그러나 기존의 자살예방교육은 자살 행위 자체에 대한 본질적 논의 부족으로 진정한 ‘예방’ 교육이 되지 못하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 청소년 자살예방의 철학적 기반을 칸트의 사상에서 찾고자 한다. 청소년 자살의 특성을 ‘자신의 삶이 불행하다고―충동적으로, 미숙하게―판단하여 선택하는 자살’이라고 간주하고, 이러한 자살에 대해서는 인간 존엄성을 중심으로 한 칸트의 사상을 통해 예방할 가능성이 있다고 보았다. 따라서 칸트의 정언명령 정식들에 기초하여 자살이 도덕적으로 정당화될 수 없는 근거를 개인적, 상호주관적 측면에서 탐구하고 자살예방교육에 적용하고자 한다. 이를 구체화하기 위해 총 2차시의 교수·학습과정안을 구상하여 학교 현장에서 실제 적용 가능한 방안을 제시한다. 칸트 철학을 적용한 자살예방교육을 통해 철학적 관점에서 자살예방교육의 본질을 규명하고 나아가 청소년 자살예방에 기여하는 것을 목표로 한다.

The biggest reason why Korean teenagers die is suicide. However, existing suicide prevention education fails to provide true ‘prevention’ education due to a lack of essential discussion about the act of suicide itself. In this paper, we seek to find the philosophical foundation for youth suicide prevention in Kant's thoughts. The characteristics of adolescent suicide were considered to be ‘suicides chosen due to the impulsive and immature judgment that one’s life is unhappy’, and it was believed that there was a possibility of preventing such suicide through Kant’s ideas centered on human dignity. Therefore, based on Kant's categorical imperative formulations, we will explore the grounds on which suicide cannot be morally justified from personal and intersubjective aspects and apply it to suicide prevention education. In order to make this concrete, a teaching and learning process plan for a total of two sessions is designed and a plan that can be actually applied in school settings is presented. Through suicide prevention education applying Kant's philosophy, we aim to identify the essence of suicide prevention education from a philosophical perspective and further contribute to youth suicide prevention.
