초록/요약
This thesis explores how gender-specific support services impact the economic participation of migrant women in Germany and South Korea, emphasizing both similarities and differences in policy implementation. Through a comparative analysis, policies addressing the economic integration of migrant women, considering traditional gender roles and societal expectations were examined. The study assesses the effectiveness of support services in facilitating economic participation and evaluates whether South Korea can learn from Germany's experience in enh ncing the economic independence of migrant women. Germany offers comprehensive support services, including language courses, job training programs, and childcare facilities, tailored to migrant women's needs. These services aim to reduce barriers to workforce participation and enhance economic integration. In contrast, South Korea focuses on cultural assimilation, providing basic language instruction and cultural education to migrant women, particularly marriage migrants. The findings reveal significant differences in the range and effectiveness of policies in both countries. Germany's model, which combines economic support with cultural integration, provides valuable lessons for South Korea. Adopting a more comprehensive approach, including job training and childcare support, could remarkably enhance the economic participation of migrant women in South Korea. This research underscores the importance of gender-sensitive policies to promote equitable economic opportunities and shows the potential for cross-national learning to improve integration outcomes for migrant women globally.
