Organizational Perceptions as Determinants of Innovative Behavior: Investigating the Moderating Role of Acculturative Stress

혁신 행동의 선행자로서의 조직 인식: 문화 변용의 조절적 영향을 중심으로

초록/요약

This study explores the role of organizational perceptions towards the innovative behavior of MNE host country managers, while further investigating the moderating influence of acculturative stress. An empirical analysis of 54 Korean host country managers of non-Korean MNEs indicates that acculturative stress negatively moderates the relationship between perceived organizational support and innovative behavior, and positively moderates the relationship between perceived relative deprivation and innovative behavior. The findings of this study indicate that MNEs must attentively comprehend the psychosocial discrepancies between employees of headquarters and host country subsidiaries to improve individual work performance.
