초록/요약
The purpose of study is to investigate the relationship among stress mind set, emotion regulation strategies, job exhaustion, and job engagement of school counselors. This study especially verified the multi-level mediating effect of emotion regulation strategies in the relationship between stress mindset and job exhaustion/engagement utilizing daily diary method. For this, 305 school counselors who participated in the training of professional counselors answered baseline and daily diary measures once a day for 7 consecutive days. Since the data of daily diary study is repeatedly measured data inherent in individuals, it was analyzed by applying a multi-level structural equation model (MSEM). The result showed that cognitive reappraisal fully mediated the relationship between stress mindset and job exhaustion, and partially mediated the relationship between stress mindset and job engagement. In addition, suppression fully mediated the relationship between stress mindset and job exhaustion. However, suppression did not mediate the relationship between stress mindset and engagement. The present study has implications that it verified mediators which affects school counselors’ daily job exhaustion and engagement, and the effect of stress mindset as a trait variable.
