초록/요약
본고에서는 1974년부터 2020년 12월까지의 발간 보고서에 수록된 청동기시대 자연과학분석을 대상으로, 그 종류와 수량을 정리하고 시기별 변화와 지역별 특징을 살펴보았다. 먼저 자연과학분석의 분류 기준을 분석 목적, 분석 기법, 분석 대상의 총 세 가지로 구분하였으며, 각 분석이 실시된 건수와 분석에 사용된 시료 수를 정리하였다. 다음으로 연도별 발굴 보고서에 제시된 전체 자연과학분석 수량의 변화 추이와 지역별 특징을 검토하였다. 분석 결과 연도별 자연과학분석의 수량은 지난 40여 년간 천천히 증가하다가 최근 5년간 큰 폭으로 늘어났다. 그리고 행정구역별로 발행된 발굴 보고서의 수량과 자연과학분석 수량이 반드시 일정한 상관관계를 갖지 않음을 확인하였다. 그 이유로 외부적 제도 변화, 해당 분석 연구자와 새로운 분석 방법의 등장, 발굴 시기의 차이, 자연과학분석의 인식과 선호도의 차이와 같은 복합적인 요인을 상정할 수 있었다. 청동기시대의 자연과학분석 사례를 종합적으로 살펴봄으로써 전반적인 흐름을 파악하였으며, 관련 연구의 기초를 마련하였다는 점에 의미를 두고 싶다.

This study examines the type and quantity of archaeological science of the Bronze Age included in excavation reports published from 1974 to December 2020 to identify the characteristics of the period and region. As a first step, the classification criteria for the science analysis are divided into three categories, analysis purpose, analysis method, and analysis subject. The number of cases in which each analysis was performed and the number of samples used in the analysis are summarized. The next step is to examine the change in the publication rate of the total number of natural science analyses presented in the annual excavation report and analyze the trends of changes by subdividing the analysis purpose and method. The last step is to compare the number of excavation reports issued by the administrative districts and the publication rate of natural science analyses to compare and analyze the characteristics of each region. Science analysis by year has increased slowly over the past 40 years and significantly over the past 5 years. In addition, it is confirmed that the number of excavation reports issued by each administrative district and the publication rate of natural science analysis did not necessarily match. This is due to complex factors such as external institutional changes, the emergence of the researchers, the differences in the excavation period, and the differences in perception and preference for natural science analysis. By examining the cases of archaeological science used in the study of the Bronze Age, this study is meaningful as an attempt to organize the data accumulated over a period of about the last 50 years and can also be used for further research
