이 연구의 목적은 새터민 청소년을 위한 커뮤니티 프로그램의 일환으로 새터민 청소년들이 언어와 문화적 장벽을 넘어설 수 있는 무용프로그램을 제안하는 것이다. 이 연구에서 진행된 이중언어 새터민 청소년을 위한 커뮤니티댄스 프로그램은 14세~19세의 새터민 청소년이 참여하였으며, 신체적 움직임과 스토리텔링을 활용한 TPRS(Total Physical Response Storytelling)을 기반으로 12 주간 진행되었다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 이중언어 새터민 청소년을 위한 문화적응의 관점에서 무용교육 프로그램을 고안하였다. 둘째, TPRS를 적용하여 무용교육 프로그램으로 고안하였으며, 신체를 위한 표현과 청취 및 발문의 교육방법을 적용하였다. 셋째, 실행 결과로 학습자들에게 무용교육을 통하여 자아표현과 정체성 탐색, 공동체 속에서 관계 맺기, 한국어 탐색과이해로 범주화가 도출되었다. 넷째, 새터민 청소년들에게 TPRS를 적용한 무용교육은 어와 움직임, 문화 커뮤니케이션으로서 문화적응을 시도하였으며, 적절한 문화교육의 필요성이 주장된다. 이러한 결과는 앞으로도 커뮤니티댄스가 소통의 경계를 넘어서는 통합교육 형태로써 문화복지와사회통합이라는 가치를 실현할 수 있는 사회공헌의 기능과 역할로 확대되어져야 함을 시사한다.

The purpose of this study was to suggest a dance program enabling North Korean defector youth to overcome their linguistic and cultural barriers. 14-19 year-old North Korean defector youth participated in this study. This community dance program was conducted for 12 weeks. The study had findings as follows. Firstly, the dance education program was designed from the perspective of adaptation for North Korean defector youth in bilingualism. Secondly, TPRS was applied to design dance education program and applied the education method of expression, listening and questioning. Thirdly, the categorization was derived through dance education to the learners through self-expression, search for identity, establishing relationships in the community, and exploring and understanding south korean language Lastly, dance education applying TPRS to north korean defector youth attempted to adapt to culture as language movement, and cultural communication, and the necessity of appropriate cultural education is needed. These findings suggest that dances is a form of integrated education in our path towards to crossing the border of communication and it is a form of social arts and culture education that helps establish one’s identity within cultural communications.
