초록/요약

This study explores the effect of FDI from the perspective of resource-based view by checking whether the inflow of capital, one of a firm’s resources, affects other resources which are internal competency and organizational culture, and how that influence affects the performance. Using survey data obtained from foreign-invested firms in Korea, this study empirically tested whether Korean firms had changes in internal competency and organizational culture and whether those firms were satisfied with their investment performance due to the influence of FDI. In addition, we tried to confirm the effect of FDI that can be achieved at the firm level through their correlation and, finally, the mediating effect of organizational culture between internal competency change and investment performance satisfaction. This study finds a positive relationship among internal competency change, organizational culture, and investment performance satisfaction of foreign-invested firms in Korea. The mediating effect of organizational culture is also partially accepted.
