There is a most remarkable literature, Shi Ji⋅Li Jiang Jun Lie Zhuan which is interesting for scholars to review. In this literature, there is one term, “Shuo Ji”(數奇) has different meaning for interpretation. Regardless of any form of transcription and even from the transcript of Shi Ji(≪史記≫), this word has a direct translation of “Li Guang has an unpleasant fate”. In Han Dynasty, “Shuo”(數) and “Ji”(奇) has multiple pronunciation. For example, This word, it can be pronounced as “Suo Jue Fan”(所角反) and today, it is commonly pronounced as “shuo”(朔). On the other hand, it can be pronounced as “Suo Ju Fan”(所具反) and later as “shu”. As such, it can be concluded that “Shuo Ji”(數奇) consists two possibilities for term explanation. The focus study on Shi Ji⋅ Li Jiang Jun Lie Zhuan(≪史記⋅李將軍列傳≫), Han Shu⋅Li Guang Su Jian Lie Zhuan(≪漢書⋅李廣蘇建列傳≫), research from past scholars and their literature, it is much appropriate to conclude that the best pronounce would be “Suo Jue Fan”(所角反) or “shuo”(數) with a significant meaning as “several times”. This study has pointed out a possibility of misinterpretation. All of this was started from Tang Dynasty’s scholar, Yan Shigu and its piece, HanShuZhu.
