리얼리티 텔레비전 포맷의 문화 간 변용 사례연구 : <신입사원 탄생기-굿피플>과 <심장을 뛰게 하는 offer 시즌 1>의 비교를 중심으로

본 연구는 포맷의 내용적 측면에 착안하여 주요 서사의 측면에서 원작 포맷과 변용된 포맷의 공통점을 규명하고, 포맷의 문화적 변용을 법치와 예치의 이론적 관점에서 해석하는 데 목적을 둔다. 이에 본 논문은 채널 A <신입사원 탄생기-굿피플>(2019)과 중국 텐센트 비디오의 <심장을 뛰게 하는 offer 시즌 1>(2019)을 비교 분석함으로써 리얼리티 텔레비전 포맷의 문화 간 변용을 법적 관점에서 조명하였다. 분석 결과, <심장을 뛰게 하는 offer 시즌 1>은 프로그램 진행 방식을 비롯한 형식적인 측면에서 원작 포맷의 기본 틀을 그대로 유지한 것으로 드러났다. 나아가 법의식의 차이는 해결 방식으로서 법의 우선순위에 따른 차이로 나타났으며, 법 적용의 차이와 법적 판단의 차이는 중국의 정, 리, 법(情ㆍ理ㆍ法) 질서에 따라 전개되었다. 한편으로, <신입사원 탄생기-굿피플>에서는 구체적 타당성에 따른 정당화를 강조하였지만, 다른 한편으로, <심장을 뛰게 하는 offer 시즌 1>에서는 형식적 측면에서의 정당성이 강조되었으며, 구체적 타당성의 구현 과정에서 법제화된 예치 이념은 법의 근거로 정당화되었다. 법의식과 법 적용 및 법적 판단의 차이에 따라 원작 포맷이 중국식 예치 이념에 의해 변용되었음을 고찰한 이 연구는 포맷의 문화 간 변용을 법치와 예치의 이론적 관점에서 해석한 사례연구로서 의미가 있을 것으로 예상된다.

This thesis primarily aims to interpret the cultural format adaptation from the theoretical perspective of the rule of law and rule of li, and to explore the similarities between the original format and the format after adaptation. In this regard, this thesis sheds light on the reality television format adaptation by comparing and contrasting two transnational programs: Channel A's <Good People>(2019) and Chinese Tencent Video's <Exciting Offer Season 1>(2019). Moreover, this thesis raises two main research questions, including main narratives of the two formats, and variations in format adaptation. On one hand, in terms of main narratives, <Exciting Offer Season 1> maintains the basic framework of the original format. On the other hand, differences on legal mind, judicial application of law and judgement have been highlighted in this thesis. Focusing on a legal perspective, this thesis argues that differences on legal mind emerged in accordance with a high/low priority of law. Furthermore, this thesis claims that due to traditional Chinese Qing, Li, Fa order, differences on judicial application of law and judgement have been emphasized in the process of format adaptation. Overall, as one of the studies on format adaptation, this thesis is expected to make the best use of interpreting the cultural format adaptation from a theoretical perspective of the rule of law and rule of li.
