The purpose of this paper is to compare the contents of the introduction of Korean academic articles and Japanese academic articles, and to analyze and consider the text structure of the introductions of Korean native speakers and Japanese native speakers. The analysis was performed using a modified version of the CARS model of Swales (1990) as the framework of the analysis. As a result of analysis and consideration, the main results of the analysis and review are as follows. 1.　As for the contents to be dealt with in the introduction, "reference to research" is most often used in the introduction of Korean academic articles and the introduction of Japanese academic articles, followed by "presentation of research objects" and "previous research and opinions on it". Many appeared. In addition, among the 15 components, the percentage of articles adopted in the introduction by "Presentation of research objectives" was the highest. 2. It can be seen that the "presentation of research purpose" that presents the research purpose appears only once in the entire introduction in Japanese articles, whereas it is repeatedly mentioned more than once in the case of Korean articles. Through this tendency, it can be seen that the introduction of Korean articles is stronger than the introduction of Japanese articles and is trying to inform readers. 3. It was found that the content that constitutes the introduction of Korean articles is more subjective than the content that constitutes the introduction of Japanese articles.
