A Study on the Revision Work of Korean Dictionaries

In the digital age, dictionaries that were traditionally printed texts for education, regulation and reference are transforming into descriptive texts in electronic forms. Characteristics of Korean dictionaries also changed along. As a result, more dynamic details need to be considered in revising existing Korean dictionaries. This work put forward the direction, condition and scope of revision process for Korean dictionaries. By looking into the revision practice of 5 Korean dictionaries, this work pointed out a future direction of Korean dictionaries revision work.
