초록/요약

Objectives: Focusing onparticulate matter (PM10) during air pollution, the government wanted to make an empirical analysis of the effects of fine dust in areas inhabited by individuals on their living satisfaction and well-being to identify the link between fine dust and living satisfaction and happiness. Methods: The data on the satisfaction and happiness of life used the 20th Labor Panel Korean Laboratory & Income Panel Study in 2017. The analysis targets 6,337 respondents living in seven cities nationwide (Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Daejeon, Incheon, Gwangju and Ulsan). The National Atmospheric Pollution Information Management System (NAMIS) was established and the two data were merged into the air environment policy data to perform logistic regression. Results: Women were 3,302 (52.1 percent) more likely to have sex than men. In the case of age, they generally shared a similar distribution, with 4,822 people (including separation, divorce, and death of spouses) having married (76.1 percent). Some 413 or 6.5 percent said they had preschoolers. Last year, the total household income averaged 5445.06 million won (SD=46.59.08 million won) and the log was taken and converted to meet the standard of normal distribution because the log was not satisfied. PM10 was not significantly related to living satisfaction and happiness. The significance of regression coefficients in overall life satisfaction, living environment life satisfaction, and leisure environment life satisfaction showed that in case of marriage, self-ownedness, health, and employment status were significant. Conclusion: The relationship between fine dust and life satisfaction and happiness was not significant. There were many variables in the impact on living satisfaction and happiness. In this regard, further research is needed to use more sensitive indicators and designs to connect fine dust with living satisfaction and happiness.
