초록/요약
The Bitcoin mixing service improves anonymity by breaking the connection between addresses. In the darkweb environment, many illegal trades in, such as drug, child pornography, avoid trace of their transactions by exploiting the mixing services. Therefore, de-mixing algorithms are needed to identify illegal traces flows and to reduce criminal activities. Unfortunately, to the best of our knowledge, few studies have been proposed to analyze the mixing services and de-anonymize the transactions. In this paper, we conduct an in-depth analysis of real-world mixing services, and propose a de-mixing algorithm for Helix, which is one of the most widely used Bitcoin mixing services. The proposed algorithm de-anonymizes the relationship between input and output addresses of mixing services by exploiting static and dynamic parameters of a mixing service. On the basis of our experiment, we could identify the relationships between input and output addresses of Helix mixing service with 99.14% accuracy rate.
