Impact of Psychological Empowerment, Position and Awareness of the audit on Information Security Policy Compliance Intention

초록/요약

This study aims to explore information security policy (ISP) compliance intention through psychological empowerment (PE), position level, and awareness of the audit. An analysis was conducted to test nonlinear partial least square structural model with research hypotheses using WarpPLS 5.0. The results will be summarized as follows. 1) Position level negatively affects intention to comply with ISP. 2) Awareness of the audit positively affects compliance information security policy intention. 3) PE has a moderating effect on the links between awareness of the audit and position level. This study provides practical and useful guidance for managers in establishing and managing ISP.

효과적인 조직의 정보 보호를 위해 정보를 생산하고 관리하는 개별 직원의 행동에 관한 세심한 이해가 요구된다. 본 연구는 개별 직원의 심리적 임파워먼트(Psychological Empowerment), 감사에 대한 인식(Awareness of Audit), 직급(Position Level)이 정보보안정책 준수 의도에 미치는 영향을 탐색하였다. 이를 위해 구조방정식 기반의 연구 모형을 설계하고, 비선형부분최소자승법(Nonlinear PLS-SEM)으로 모형을 검증하였다. 연구결과 직급이 낮을수록, 감사에 대한 인식 수준이 높을수록 정보보안정책 준수 의도가 높은 것을 확인하였다.
