젠더 관점의 학교체육 관련 연구문헌 분석

The gender perspective in school physical education facilitate the understanding of gender issues and gender inequality structures in school P.E. and also seek for ways that everyone can enjoy P.E. and be educated. The purpose of this study was to provide basic insights and implications with gender perspectives in school physical education by comprehensively analyzing research literatures on gender perspectives in school physical education. In particular, this research intended to appreciate the extent to which gender has been addressed and ultimately to suggest potential research areas. A theoretical framework informed by feminist and gender studies guided this research investigation. Research literatures – 184 articles from Korea Citation Index journals from 2000 to July 2017 – were collected and inductive category analysis was employed. The results are as follows. First, the collected research literatures on gender perspectives in school physical education show research trends according to the year of publication, published journal, research area, research methods, and research objects. Second, the analysis of research literatures on gender perspectives in school physical education shows that the main contents could be categorized into five themes which are co-ed P.E. participation, intervention, law and policy, and textbook. In sum, drawing on the analysis of research literatures on gender perspectives in school physical education, implications could be made on Sport Pedagogy research field. The reconceptualization of gender perspective, reexamination of gender discourses, and challenging previously suggested solutions would be needed for future gender studies in Sport Pedagogy.
