필라테스 그룹 운동 시 추가적인 몸통호흡법이 정상인의 복부 근활성도에 미치는 효과

Abstract The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of additional pilates breathing session on the activation of abdominal muscles during pilates group exercise in healthy subjects. 25 young healthy women (age range: 20 - 30 years, mean age: 24.04 ± 3.06 years) were randomly allocated to two groups, experimental group (EG, n1 = 13), control group (CG, n2 = 12). All the subjects participated in pilates group exercise for an hour a day, twice a week and for four weeks. Only the subjects in EG took an additional pilates breathing session for 90 minutes a day before pilates group exercise. The activation of rectus abdominis (RA), external oblique (EO), and transverse abdominis & internal oblique (TrA&IO) muscles were measured using wireless surface electromyography(EMG) during crunch exercise. This study found a significantly greater increase in the EMG patterns of TrA & IO in EG during crunch exercise than in CG (p < 0.05). Also, there was a significant decrease in the ratio of muscle activation at RA to that at TrA & IO during performance of crunch exercise in EG (p < 0.05). These findings show that providing an additional pilates breathing session before pilates group exercise can help improve the activation of deep abdominal muscles.
