초록/요약
The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between instructor's communication and learner's educational satisfaction. Moreover, this study presents the mediating effect of rapport between instructor's communication and learner's educational satisfaction at HRD programs in “L” corporation. In an effort to verify the hypothesis, survey results from 249 participants in “L” corporation were conducted and analyzed using repression analysis with SPSS 21.0 for Windows along with the verification through the three steps of Baron & Kenny(1986)’s procedures for mediation hypothesis. The results are the following: First, the educational satisfaction amongst learners was much higher when the verbal communication, proxemics, kinesis and paralanguage of the instructor were implemented smoother. Second, the result presents the effectiveness of delivering a certain content was not only dependent on the verbal and non-verbal communication of the instructor, but also building rapport. The study indicates rapport between instructor and learners has direct/indirect effects on educational satisfaction. It proves the amount of in-class communication between instructor and learners play a significant role in improving educational satisfaction. Thus, the instructor himself/herself may benefit from strategically using the appropriate factors of communication.
