초록/요약
Unification of the Korean peninsula has both opportunities and challenges for the future stability and prosperity of East Asia. In this era of complex and transformative international relations, South Korea must prepare for the unforeseeable future and strengthen its unification diplomacy as a basis for cooperation and bringing about a common effort toward North Korea with its neighbors. Therefore, to recover the trust between two Koreas, Public diplomacy and Social Integration are needed. This paper will examine the Korean government’s effort to engage in public diplomacy. Also there are several barriers responsible for the future, such as lack of communication, misunderstanding between South and North Korea. Therefore this paper will suggest how to overcome these barriers and introduce a real case about Korean public diplomacy for Unification and Social integration.
