Today, we live is called the era of globalization and internationalization. At this time, the world is formed with close relationship, so in art education we need to emphasize sentimentality education to help understand foreign culture through art. What the artist draw on the canvas represents artist's psychological, social, spiritual, religious, and environmental factors. More over, appreciation of the art is the important element for students to understand the cultures by sentimentality education. However, current art appreciation class is far from the main objective which is originally developing students' perspective in art and understanding international culture because the art appreciation class consists of standardizing and cramming method of education The class is not only limiting but also constricting students' own abundant sensevity so, the students have accepted unintended distortion and narrow mindedness rather than learning the diversification of perspective for international culture. Therefore, to develop international view, the study of diverse art appreciation is necessary for students to understand own and other culture. When any culture is established, it is based on philosophical ideas about the nature and human beings. From the old times, the nature has been close relationship with human being and it is one of th most important things in life even today. Relationship between humans and nature, is different from East and West. Even though we live in same period, the cognitions make different ideologies and cultures which effects artists and they express their own ways to seek their world of art works. In this paper, through the comparison of art paintings of East and West knowing our culture is excellent and developing attitude toward understanding ideas and cultures of other countries at the same time are main objectives. Besides from comparative art appreciation except simple art appreciation it can make better to understand and analyse the arts with improving ability of das Ästhetische and appreciation. The art appreciation is not to compare and argue with East and West but admit and learn the difference. To admit the difference understanding how the superficial expression comes out is first then check out materials, crude element and principle. In summary of the paper, philosophical idea is the main point of view among the contextual meaning. In these days philosophical idea is used to be in common in the East and West so, the East only involves the Joseon Dynasty period and the West suggests Renaissance age. The Oriental philosophical idea that was centrally composed with Buddhism, Confucianism and Taoism and Western philosophical in the paper that was considered as the ancient Greek and the Middle Ages are compared firstly then look at Artistic view which is formed from them. The East is based on "The idea of Man-Heaven Unity of Confucius" which is Pursuit of harmony with nature and humans but the West thinks that nature is the target to conquer and is based on humanistic ideals. Based on these ideas, the East handles space expression with view point of movement and methods for three space variables and emptiness on other hand the West deal with perspectivism, shading and triangle composition. Considering representation and expression as view point it compares and appreciates the representative portraits and landscapes paintings in Joseon Dynasty period and the Renaissance age. In this paper, due to lack of comparative point of view on philosophical idea for the Eastern and Western method of expression continuing studies and work are needed to be more effective class. Hopefully, this research result can help greatly the spot of education in art class. Eventually the art appreciation class and Art appreciation teaching method can be systematically studied with various contextual method.
