초록/요약
Information is critical to the relationship between Korea and Japan because of close proximity of the two countries. Recently, extremist groups in Japan have been active in promoting anti-Korean sentiment. They have the potential to negatively affect the relationship between these two countries, and excessive media attention might further compound this situation. This paper examines the extent to which the Japanese media has paid an overly excessive amount of attention to these groups. It will investigate precisely how extremists are portrayed, by analyzing newspapers and other print media. The research shows that most of the articles published tend to focus on illegal activity and that Japanese media has not paid too much attention to the extremists. As a result the framing of extremist groups is unduly negative.
