『누가복음』에 나타난 아가페(Αγαπη)의 교육적 의의

Αγαπη is a very important concept in Christianity and Judaism. God loved Israelite as αγαπη, and then educated them to love persons of other nationalities in the Old Testament. The scope of αγαπη has expanded in the New Testament. In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus taught αγαπη to his disciples and people to love neighbors who were the poor and even persons who were enemies, foreigners, and sinners. Even though Jesus died on the cross, αγαπη which Jesus had showed remained in our spirit as a valuable teaching. Loving to people each other decreased more and more in the contemporary society with capitalism. In educating field of Korea, loving to students and teachers has been lacking for few decades. One of the biggest problems is regarding the qualifying test for university. Teachers of high schools have educated students just for it without learning personal nature. Those who are for Mammonism just seek to get promotion and success in their work as well. In so doing, these grow to lead much more losing of personal nature in the high skilled society. Αγαπη which Jesus taught would give a clue to solve problems caused in not a sustainable education field and society. This doctoral dissertation considered αγαπη new paradigm which would make good human nature in the education field and even in the industrial society. Jesus taught αγαπη to disciples and people as an ideal educational philosophy. However, It is far more unique of social concern for Jesus to show the meaning of αγαπη in the Gospel of Luke. Αγαπη of Jesus as educational meaning would make a few implications in the educational field and society of Korea. First of all, it is the paradox educational meaning of αγαπη. Education of Korea focused on high score on the test for university, success in their future, and promotion in their work. Even though it is natural for people to want to make much money in capitalism society, it is not an ideal goal with people. Jesus educated not about success but αγαπη as paradox. This means that loving as αγαπη is true ideal education more than passing the test for universities. Second, it is the expanding educational meaning of αγαπη. Jesus educated people to love neighbors who they hardly love. However, it gives a lesson to us to solve a few problems between teachers and students in schools and also many kinds of problems as racial crisis, cultural and social problems appearing in the contemporary society. Third, it is the preaching educational meaning of αγαπη. Jesus usually preached disciples and people to teach αγαπη. They were public and individual preaching. As for a person, Jesus taught him with his character. For example, Peter was very strong character in the New Testament. Peter cut the ear of a person called Malchus in the court of the high priest. Jesus taught Peter with his strong character to show αγαπη. Jesus healed his ear and then said to Peter "put up the sword into its place." The methodology of Jesus with αγαπη would give a goal to teachers to teach personality more than high scores of tests in school. Fourth, it is the educational meaning of kingdom of God. The kingdom of God is the world which is in perfect αγαπη. Jesus taught his disciples and people about the kingdom of God in his whole life. It means a hope and ideal to survive difficulty and sorrow in life. It leads that students and even people consider αγαπη education more valuable. Fifth, it is the educational meaning of parable and miracle. Jesus usually taught disciples and many people together. Jesus used parables for educating disciples who are in different level. Jesus also showed miracles for teaching people who are in discouragement. Although education in school and society of Korea is not sustainable, methodology of Jesus would give students, teachers, and even leaders the hope that personal nature education with αγαπη is more valuable and faithful educational philosophy.
