초록/요약
본 연구는 한국사회 고령층의 경제, 건강, 관계, 여가 영역을 중심으로 객관적 변수와 주관적 변수를 활용하여 노인의 생활상태를 살펴보고 행복도의 직접효과와 간접효과를 산출 및 비교하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 자료수집은 『2011년도 노인패널조사』를 통해 전국 노인 10,674명을 대상으로 하였으며, SPSS 19.0을 이용하여 다중회귀분석 및 경로분석을 실시하였다. 고령층의 행복도를 객관적 모델과 주관적 모델 및 종합적 모델로 분석한 결과 종합적 모델의 설명력이 가장 높았으며, 객관적 변수들은 주관적 변수에 매개되어 행복도를 결정하는 것을 확인하였다. 이에 따라 객관적 변수와 주관적 변수가 행복도에 이르는 경로계수를 살펴본 결과 경제와 건강, 여가영역은 부분매개가 나타났고, 자녀를 중심으로 살펴본 관계영역은 완전매개하는 양태를 보였다. 이러한 연구결과를 통해 노인의 행복도는 삶의 환경에 대한 개인의 만족도를 통해 결정된다고 볼 수 있으며, 오늘날 독립적이고 진취적인 삶을 지향하는 이들의 행복도를 증진시키기 위해서 경제와 건강영역은 객관적 상태 역시 간과할 수 없는 중요한 요인이며 관계영역은 만족도가 가장 중요하며, 여가영역에서는 능동적이고 의미 있는 활동에 참여하는 것이 중요한 요소임을 시사한다.

This paper is to understand the living condition of the Korean senior citizens, factoring in the objective and subjective variables in light of factors of economy, health, social relation and leisure, in drawing a comparison between the direct and indirect effort of the degree of happiness assessed. Source of the research is 『Senior Panel Research ‘11』 comprising a total of 11,542 senior citizens, with use of SPSS 19.0 for multiple regression analysis and path analysis. In conclusion, the analysis from the comprehensive perspective, among analyses on the degree of happiness of the old from objective, subjective and comprehensive models, explain the result best, with objective variables being subject to subjective variables in determination of the degree of happiness. As for path coefficient for objective variables toward subjective variables, fractional mediation have been established among factors of economy, health and leisure. while the factor of social relationship solely has done for the perfect mediation. It can thus be said that the degree of happiness of the old is a personal factor defined based upon their respective living environments, and in order to increase happiness of those who aim for independence and promising lives, factoring in such objective factors as economy and health is crucial and shouldn't be overlooked. Moreover, a great significance also lies with actively and meaningfully participating in social relation and leisures.
