The research is to suggest effective tennis serve practice methods from the study administered to tennis club male members in three tennis serves (flat, spin and slice), studied on 10 male tennis club members living in G city of Gyeonggi󰠏do, divided 10 members into 2 groups of three practicing organization practicing group(blocked practice, random practice), and after a preliminary test onto 5 members in each group, conducted the experiment with groups of similar averages. Experiment process consists of three kinds of serves (flat, slice and spin) which were conducted 20 times each in preliminary test, 360times(90 times per day) each in skill acquisition step, 20 times each in post󰠏experiment, 20 times each in a retention test, and 20 each in a transfer test. For this research, SPSS ver.12.0 was used to produce averages by group and standard deviation. For examining differences due to the treatment period and interaction effects due to groups and treatment period, two󰠏way ANOVA with repeated measure was used. For examining major effects responding to measured items on preliminary and post experiments, paired t󰠏test was conducted and for a measured variable gap between the groups, independent t󰠏test was conducted. The level of significance in the hypothesis test was set by a=.05. 1) There was a significant difference in flat, and spin serves but not in the slice serve in the level of skill acquisition within Section practice groups 2) There was a significant difference in all three serves(flat, spin, and slice) in a retention test and transfer test with blocked practice groups. 3) Significant difference in technique acquisition period in three serves (flat, spin, and slice) with the random practice group 4) Significant difference seen in the spin serve, but not in the flat and slice serve in a retention test with the random practice group, 5)No significant difference in transfer test in all three serves(flat, spin, and slice) with random practice group . 6) Improved average in the technique acquisition period, though no significant difference among the groups. 7) No significant differences between groups, even though the random practice group showed improvements in a retention rate in a retention test. 8) Improved transfer rate with random practice group in the transfer test, but no significant difference between groups.
