초록/요약
우리나라는 급격한 인구 고령화로 인한 많은 문제를 직면하고 있다. 이러한 인구 고령화에 대한 대책으로 각종 정부정책이 마련되어 시행되고 있으나 정책의 실효성을 위해서는 정확한 인구구조의 변화에 대한 연구가 선행되어야 할 것이다. 그러나 통계청에서 국가통계포털을 통해 제공하고 있는 인구통계 자료들은 최근 10여년의 자료를 제외하고는 체계적으로 정리되어있지 않아 참고할 자료 자체도 거의 존재하지 않는 것이 현실이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 국내 인구자료의 부족함을 해결하기 위해 시뮬레이션에 의한 인구를 생성하고자 한다. 이를 위해서 인구 연구 선진국에서 많이 쓰이고 있는 마이크로시뮬레이션 모델 기법을 소개하고 1970년 이후 출생자수와 사망확률자료를 통해 2005년의 성별 0세~100세 1세 단위의 가상 인구자료를 생성하여 실제 인구센서스자료 및 주민등록인구 자료와의 비교하였다. 연구결과 성별 0세~100세 1세 단위의 자료는 아니지만 2000년부터 2005년까지 연도별 성별 0세~34세 1세 단위의 가상 인구자료가 실제 자료와 잘 맞는 것을 확인하였다.

In recent years, a lot of problems have arisen due to the rapid aging-population, and the government now operates various social policies for them. In order to make these policies work more effectively, it is necessary to comprehensively understand the changes in the national population structure. The population data provided by the Korea National Statistical Office (KNSO) through the Korean Statistical Information Service (KOSIS) website, however, used rather arbitrary age-groups until the mid-1980s, and thus are insufficient to summary the temporal patterns. This paper aims to remedy this insufficiency of the population data using a microsimulation model. In the paper, the microsimulation model will be briefly introduced, and then applied to generate a pseudo population dataset for 2005, based on the birth and death probability for those who were born after 1970. The data are aggregated by gender and one-year age-groups from the age of 0 up to 100, and are compared with the census data as well as the resident registration population data.
